Our trip to Savannah was short and sweet. As soon as we for there the first thing I noticed was the heat! It was quite different from the mountain air! It was muggy and pretty bug infested. Because I am pregnant bugs love me, and as soon as I step out the door bugs find me, even with bug spray. Unfortunately, our campsite was not very nice either, but they did have a small workout room with an elliptical machine so that was a plus!
The city itself was very lovely, it was very similar to Charleston SC, where we started. We did the horse and buggy tour of the city and I have to say I was not
too impressed with that either. They didn't give too many historical details about the families who lived in the historic homes. I am glad we went though so I can cross that off my bucket list of places to see.
The highlight of our tour was the candy shop we went in. We had just watched Willie Wonka and The Chocolate Factory the night before and it was like stepping into the movie.
The next day we left for Charleston.
