The military has special incentives in the summer for families to see local muesums for free. It is part of the Blue Star military program. I try to take advantage of it every summer. Every city that we go to I look what muesums are offering the blue star free admission. I was so happy to see The Penn Muesum on the list. I remember going to this muesum for an assignment while in college at Temple, and was very impressed with it! It has the largest Egyptian collection in North America, and even had a lab where you could see mummies being studied, and speak with the conservers working on them. That was probably the highlight of the muesum. It also has other finds from all over the world. It is an extremely old museum so some of these collections have been here for over 100 years! Pretty awesome stuff!
